Always tired and low energy, went doctor but tests normal
I'm in my early 30s, sleeping enough hours but always feel tired and sluggish during the day. GP did blood tests and said everything is normal. What could I be missing? Sharing personal experiences would help.

From my experience, 'normal' blood tests still leave a lot unexplained, and for me the culprits were sleep quality and lifestyle, not sleep quantity. I was in bed 8 hours but scrolling my phone till late, so my actual deep sleep was poor. Cutting screens an hour before bed, moving my last coffee to before noon, and getting morning sunlight made a real difference within a couple of weeks. Dehydration and skipping proper meals for kopi and kaya toast also drained me. I started walking after dinner and eating more protein and vegetables instead of just carbs. If you've fixed lifestyle and still feel wiped out, ask your doctor specifically to check thyroid, iron stores and vitamin D, since a basic panel might not include all of these.

I had the same and it turned out to be a mix of stress and low iron even though the general test looked okay. Please go back to your GP and ask them to look deeper rather than assuming it's nothing. Sometimes fatigue is tied to mental load, not just physical, so be honest about work stress and mood too. What helped me practically: regular exercise even just brisk walking three times a week, cutting down on sugary bubble tea, and a consistent sleep schedule including weekends. Also get your workspace and posture checked because constant tension gives that drained feeling. Fatigue that persists for weeks despite lifestyle changes deserves proper medical follow-up, so don't just live with it, push for answers or ask for a referral.
