Company forcing 5-day RTO, is it worth quitting over?

Not overreacting, 3 hours daily commute is 15 hours a week, basically two extra unpaid workdays of your life. That's a legitimate quality-of-life hit. But before quitting, do the math and the diplomacy. First, negotiate: ask for a formal flexi-work arrangement citing your track record and the commute. Under the tripartite flexible work guidelines that kicked in, employers must properly consider such requests now, they can't just dismiss it. Put it in writing. If they still say no, then weigh it: is the pay/growth worth the commute? For me the answer was no, I found a role 20 minutes away at similar pay and my life transformed. But don't quit without a landing spot in this market. Line up the next thing first, then leave. Test the flexi request first, you might be surprised.
