CPF Accounts (OA / SA / MA)

Finance

Your CPF savings are split across accounts, each with a purpose. The Ordinary Account is mainly for housing, and can also be used for insurance, investment and education. The Special Account is for retirement and pays higher interest. The MediSave Account is set aside for approved healthcare and medical insurance. At age 55 a Retirement Account is created for your retirement payouts. Each account earns interest set by CPF, with extra interest on lower balances, and money generally cannot be moved out freely. Contribution allocation, interest rates and account rules are subject to the latest rules.
